Canada has changed its work permit rules under the International Mobility Program.

Canada has changed its work permit rules under the International Mobility Program.

The Government of Canada modified guidelines for labour market impact assessment (LMIA) exempt work permits issued under the Federal-Provincial Agreements – International Mobility Program on November 17, 2022. Increase the work permit period for provincial nominee program (PNP) candidates from two to three years to alleviate strain on employees, employers, and processing officers. The government also updated the IMP websites, making the landing pages easier to understand.
