If you want to stay in Canada permanently after earning your CSQ, you’ll have to submit an application to the federal government. In order to make this request, you can do it either electronically or off line. It takes roughly 16 months to process.
What if you want to Continue Working and Staying in Canada Legally?
You could extend or renew your work permit and obtain an employer-linked work permit without the employer having to obtain a Labor Market Impact Assessment or a Quebec Acceptance Certificate. You may obtain an open work permit if you have already applied for permanent residence. Note that for this type of request, conditions apply
